Love is like a Cross
Greater is He that is in me so I
put my confidence in Him that shows me divine Love (1 John 4:4 NKJV). Love is limitless in its magnitude and
definition so there is no one interpretation of its expression. Consider it in all our being, through our
thoughts, feelings, and actions.
I always believed that
our thoughts and feelings work simultaneously with our actions in that our
feelings and thoughts influence each other and it’s through our actions that we
execute them. In other words, if a
person is feeling love/unlove, his/her thoughts will also manifest such
emotions (feelings) and it will show in the way they choose to express love to
others (actions).
Likewise in relationships,
if your partner has a limited perception or no view at all when it comes to
love then his/her feelings and thoughts towards you is set on those
limitations. As a result, his/her
actions will not align with your expectations of what love is supposed to be
and you will end up feeling hurt, disappointed, and angry. With time you will also heightened these
negative feelings into bitterness and unforgiveness.
Therefore, seek
everything that you think you need within yourself first. When you can identify your needs and values
in a relationship, you will be better able to choose a partner that is in
perfect alignment. STOP thinking that
he/she will grow or mature or better yet, CHANGE. When a person show you who they are and what
they are about, believe it and then decide if you are willing to accept them
just the way they are.
After all, Love is like denying yourself, picking up your cross and following Jesus daily (Matt 16:24 NKJV). Its in the most eminent form to embrace and give Love unselfishly. Through sacrifice of self, there is proof of Love; a joyful heart is one that is at peace and have the power to exercise self-control. Rest assured that the clear path to happiness is to choose to share your life with others by a way of life that is alignment with a Love for God.
