Cheating: "Til death do us Part"
After following the news stories and headlines regarding the fatal shooting and death of dancehall artiste, 50-year-old Wayne 'Captain Barkey' Hamilton and 30 something-year-old Tracy Bennett, I was inclined to write this titillating piece. I was prompted to wait for this post because I somehow knew that the story had an ending. In anticipation and with some minor revision, I have managed to incorporate the unexpected events that followed.
It is alleged
that the two had an extramarital affair which ended very tragically due to a
wrathful, unforgiving ex. This love triangle which
ended very tragically, have stirred up alot of frenzy amongst everyone who
followed the story but I have managed to diverge the attention a bit to form
the basis of the reality of pumpum
supremacy. Over time we have seen men in
fight of flight, countries at war, and even death fall upon men, all in the
name of the ‘P.’ Believe it or not and
as ridiculous as it may sound, this incident has not shown otherwise.
Imagine one woman, two men and the frightening feud that
escalated over the ‘P.’ Of course, this
is not the norm; it is usually two women headed by the Lust of one man in a typical love trio. In this scenario both men came under
sovereignty rule whether knowingly or unknowingly; the only difference is that
one is willing to kill for it while the other is willing to die for it. Might seem quite odd and peculiar that these two men with
similar requisites are actually willing to sacrifice everything for something they can
get from another woman but whatever it is that the ‘P’ possesses, it’s beyond
the realm of this world's understanding. It is hoped that feud ended here and it didnt continue in the afterlife.
Questions have surfaced around trying to understand
who the pums really belongs to or who can claim entitlement to it but the reasoning is still a mystery. We know for certain that these two men would
not put up a fight for this young lady’s good looks, great body, her
intricate, intelligent mind or her great attitude. One thing’s
for sure though is that the ‘P’ has a magnitude of worth and prominence. There is no dollar amount that can be placed
on it but it has invoked feelings of pride, jealousy and mortality. For the mindful and intrigued, let us play up
the possibilities and take it up a notch to gather a more utilitarian view of
the matter.
When we think of the word Power, words such as
control, influence, authority, rule, dominance, muscle etc. comes to mind. Did I mention ‘muscle?’ Who would have
thought of the muscle gripping characteristic of the “P?” Need I say more? Would it make any sense to say that the power
is in the ‘grip’? No pun intended. Is it
physical and or mental? For the most
part, this is an understatement of how much the pussy warrant to both men and
women. In heterosexual relations one
must really admit that the ‘P’ is the fuel or drive in every sexual encounter
leading to a very happy ending. Through
its innate abilities, it can also work and operate in just about any condition.
There is no distinction in measurement, size
& fit. Its resilience is also
astounding, hence, there’s no need to make mention of its permanence.
Many have sung, written, and researched about its uh
oh goodness but no one said it better than the man himself, popular reggae
artiste, Shabba Ranks, who dubbed: “who say that woman can dunn. Tell them seh
woman caan dunn. One juke, one wash, then
u tun it dun, open u foot, a next man welcome.”
It ‘Caan Dunn.’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMaxL9Pu6Mc
. RIP Captain Barkey also dubbed, man a
gi Bun & a get back Bun, whey u call dat? Bun fi Bun.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNTulUXxY8Y. In Jamaica the word Bun is a popular term given for infidelity so in
other words he said that if someone is being unfaithful and receive it back
then it cancels out everything.
However, his simple logic double crossed him and the
events surrounding his death invalidate such an idea because above all else,
Pumpum rules - it brings life and indeed does taketh three lives.
It
is hoped that both men & women take valuable notes on this eye opener.
Three selfish people in their own rite leaving an unforgettable mark in the
minds and memories of many. So many people's lives affected by this mess and
all three took the exit to all the pain and humiliation. This is so real and so
much closer to home than we may think.
This
is definitely no Romeo & Juliet masterpiece, neither was there an happy
ending but it all goes to show the power of the pums and the heartbreaking
weaknesses in men.
